How can you help!

Please sponsor us for one mile that we will cycle as we try to support South African student, Khanisa Nqoboka in continuing his studies at Western Cape University.

At Ferrum College, VA where all bike team members are at school, we will be having a fundraising stand next week on campus for those who would like to donate or find out more information about These Numbers Have Faces or both! More details on this to follow

If you would like to sponsor us and you have facebook, please follow the link below,

Here look for the "Fundraising Goal" half way down the page where it says "raise $1000 for a half scholarship for Khanisa ...." and click donate.

The minimum donation on the page is $10, so maybe you and a few friends could get together to make one donation. We greatly appreciate your help!!

More info....

Hey!

We wanted to let you know what we have been up to and give you some more details about our trip and why we are doing it.

For the past month and a half we have been training on our bicycles every day as we aim to ride at least 400 miles during the Thanksgiving Break 2008.

We are doing this to try and raise funds for a South African student partnered with non-profit organization, These Numbers Have Faces.

The student we want to try and support is Khanisa Nqoboka. Khanisa is currently studying Tourism at the University of Western Cape in Cape Town S. Africa. He is passionate about his education and believes his degree will be perfect in his effort to seek employment in anticipation of the 2010 Soccer World Cup which is being held in South Africa.

As students ourselves we understand Khanisa's desire to gain an education and we want to help him achieve his goals.

Please help by sponsoring us $1 (thats 50p back home) for one mile that we will cycle to try and help Khanisa continue his studies!

See our next update for details on how to make a donation online!
